CCN Saturday is our monthly “special outreach” designed to glorify God through winning souls and galvanizing the troops!

**

Students come together to encourage one another to break out of their comfort zone and preach with greater fervency and compassion. Students then return to their campus with greater boldness, experience, and zeal!

**

Last CCN Saturday, held on November 17th was a great blessing! CCN students from Ramapo College of New Jersey, Seton Hall University, Montclair State University, and LaGuardia Community College all came out for a day of fasting, prayer, Word, one-to-one evangelism, open-air preaching, and godly fellowship!

CCN students from 4 colleges gathered at Iglesia Nueva Vida in Queens, NY to pray, worship the Lord, and hear His Word. CCN Mentor, Jonathan, brought the Word, which was convicting. To hear a small snippet, make sure you check out our video recap (above post)!



Afterwards, the men and women separated for a time of open confession and group prayer. The Lord touched both the men and women and the bonding that occurred was nothing short of divine! Once again, there were both tears and celebration.



After prayer, everyone felt refreshed in the spirit, as the Lord applied His great grace liberally! The troops were ready to march into battle!

We broke up into four teams, mixing the more experienced CCN members with the new. Once on the train, the preaching began! In one car, we thought we were experiencing the greatest level of apathy from a group of New Yorkers to date. However, it soon became apparent that Tiffany was preaching in English to a car full of Hispanics… We snatched Sebastian from another team, who then began preaching in their native tongue. Suddenly, the car came alive! Hecklers awoke and others were touched!

Becky, a student from Raritan Valley Community College, who joined us for the first time was moved to tears! See a clip of this in our 5 minute video (in a post above)! Please pray for those who heard the gospel on the subways.




The crew went to a populated place in Queens – a bus terminal! There were people everywhere standing and waiting for their bus. New students witnessed one-to-one by themselves for the first time! It was also a perfect place for open-air preaching and one-to-one witnessing.

Siquina and Tiffany talked to a Jehovah’s Witness, which was a perfect time to put what they learned at CCN into practice. His name was Nicholas (above picture, lower right corner) and he stole our hearts, because he was so sincere, though sincerely wrong. Please pray that the Lord will open his eyes to Truth and save His soul!





Speaking of “first time”, Rachel, a Music Major from Montclair State University, used her trumpet to get the attention of the crowd before open-air preaching for the first time! Rachel, who joined CCN as a Freshman this year really stepped out of her comfort zone, as she preached on sin using the law, judgment, and grace!




Rachel wasn’t the only new open-air preacher. Her church companion, Becky, from Raritan Valley Community College also open-air preached for the first time biblically, effectively, and boldly! She had attended a biblical evangelism Crash Course at her church in the summer and was still fired up!

The Gospel was preached, God was glorified, and the day was full of testimonies! We ended the night at a Spanish restaurant, where we had live music and sing-a-long! Watch our 5 minute recap video (in an above post) to hear our lovely voices, filled with joy!

Nick also encouraged the team of soul winners with heartfelt words and an exhortation not to return to a lukewarm state once back on campus. This CHANGE should be permanent!




The night was filled with victory and praise to our King! Please pray for the many souls, who heard the message of the Gospel preached clearly, biblically and with compassion. Pray that their hearts be opened and that many will be saved.

Also, pray for the students to return to their campus with greater zeal and boldness to preach the gospel to their fellow students, as well as all those in their “sphere of influence!”

“So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.”
(1 Corinthians 3:7)

CCN members from NJ colleges gathered at Ramapo College of New Jersey for a time dedicated to seeking the Lord in prayer for boldness, power, and souls to be won to Him. CCN Overseer, Pastor Sean brought a Word of encouragement and rebuke! Gotta love that chastisement.



After the women prayed with one another, the Lord brought them closer. There were tears and cheers for the Lord.


The men prayed together and just like the women, a lot of repenting was going on! This is what CCN Saturday is all about: getting together, iron sharpening iron, turning from lukewarmness to a burning blaze with the zeal of the Lord and holiness to serve and glorify Him!


The team was strengthened and now it was time to "walk the talk"!

We hit the subways and the streets, and met so many people to share the gospel with! There is never a shortage of souls to witness to where we went: New York City!

Kirk bumped into 2 souls from his college in the heart of Times Square! Tiffany witnessed to the young lady, who said she had never understood the gospel so clearly before. She was from another country! Nick pleaded with a young, apathetic man about the importance of his soul. Under the lights of "Vanity Fair", NYC, it is hard to see the reality of eternity. Please pray for him.

Jonathan ministered to 3 youth, who started the conversation as professing athiests. However, after Jonathan was able to reason with them about the foolishness of evolution, they all began to see clearer, and scoffed at the theory. By the end of the conversation, they were very touched, pondering the gospel. One young man, Oscar, was particularly affected. Please pray for them.

Rashan held a long conversation with a gentleman, who listened intently and asked many questions. I remember walking past and hearing part of the conversation. It was incredible! The Holy Spirit spoke with such compassion and boldness through our very gentle and quiet Rashan. Was this Rashan? No, it was the Holy Spirit speaking through him, and it was evident. Please pray for this man.

Jonathan preached in the streets of Times Square with great passion and boldness. Some people crowded around and listened. Some interacted, answering his questions. Others walked by with apathy. His voice began raspy at some points, but the Lord restored it. He was like "voice of one crying in the wilderness" (Mark 1:3), crying "Repent and believe the Gospel", just like His Lord Jesus preached (Mark 1:14-15)). Nick preached on the trains to a very respectful crowd. Although train preaching is common in NYC, some in the crowd were not apathetic, but listened intently.

Kirk preached in Times Square and the train. One gentleman stopped directly in front of him, and Kirk got to talk to him for quite some time. He professed to be a Christian. Please pray for him, too.

Rashan preached on the trains, as well. We travelled the NJ Path Train, so we were able to evangelize in both NY and NJ.

Our beloved sister, Contessa, from CCN LaGuardia joined us in the city, and she brought her little cousin with her.

It wasn't long before little Naylah joined the team and started handing out tracts to everyone who passed her by!

CCN Saturday was EXTRAORDINARY!

Tiffany got to witness to actor, Samuel L. Jackson, who stood very quietly as she went through scripture.


Afterwards, he allowed her to pray for him. When we left, he just stood there, staring into space, right in front of Madame Tussaud's Wax Musuem. He remained there all night, very pensive. Please pray for him.



We also met a beautiful woman of God, Irma, who serves the Lord alone on the streets of New York City, handing out tracts, and preaching the gospel. What an encouragement! We listened with joy to our sister's stories of God's glory, and prayed for her. She also prayed for us! Please keep this woman of God, Irma, in prayer. When we are her age, we want to be serving the Lord with her energy and zeal. She is yet another older person who I have met, who has an enormous amount of zeal, tenacity, and energy to serve the LORD because she actively goes out of her way to witness.

We also met a young man, Andre, who was on his way to Newark from Texas. He shared that he was from a Christian background, and we invited him on our journey, as we preached and witnessed. During the subway ride, Nick got to know him, and shared with him more about the Christian walk, plus how and why we witness. This was our "friendship evangelism" for the day! Later, he sent us an email through our webite, sharing that he was encouraged greatly and even shared about CCN with his friends back home. Please pray for our friend, Andre!

We all got home in the wee hours of the morning - somewhere around 2 and 3AM. But, we all arose with a fresh zeal, and were dressed and ready for church the next day! No excuses!

CCN Saturday - A Success!

The Praise Report!

Our first "CCN Saturday" was an awesome success! By the grace of God, we had an awesome time of prayer, weeping and crying out to the Lord, wondeful worship and encouragement through the Word! The Lord heard our cry for boldness and then blessed us with an amazing outreach, where the gospel was proclaimed with boldness and compassion. Finally, we broke our fast and broke bread for fellowship!

After prayer, and after cleaning her face from her running mascara, Tiffany was surprised with a birthday cake! She's a happy 27 year-old!




Shantel, our CCN Campus Leader @ SHU open air preached for the first time! Watch her journey unfold...

Shantel opens her mouth, boldly, to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to many listeners!















Shantel rejoices that the Holy Spirit gave her the boldness to share the gospel with so many people (more than some Christians share the gospel with in a lifetime)! We rejoiced with her, and the angels rejoice over one souls that repents!














Cecilee shared the gospel to a crowd of men who actually cheered for her. Unfortunately, they were drunk. God willing, the message shocked them sober, and planted a seed of repentance and faith in Christ in them.




















After the gospel was preached, we received some great encouragement from some sisters in the Lord, who thanked us for sharing the gospel and encouraged us to continue. All in all, the Lord blessed us with great crowds on almost every train! We praise the Lord for hearing and answering our morning prayer!

We give God all the honor and all the praise for this wonderful time of soul winning for His glory! May He save many, who heard His Gospel preached!
