One-to-One Adult Mentorship Program

Can you name someone who made a major positive impact in your life?
Can you see yourself being that person for somebody else?
*

In partnership with Goodwill Industries, B.L.E.S.S.E.D. Ministries, Inc. (BMI) is seeking mentors for its Adult One-to-One Mentoring Program, designed to assist formally incarcerated individuals who reside in the Essex County, New Jersey community by matching them with outstanding community leaders, known as Mentors.
*
What is a mentor? A mentor is a trusted counselor and guide, who helps and directs another individual's development, knowing that a person who receives direction and encouragement has a greater chance of success.
*
BMI's 3 Mentorship Goals are:
*
- Winning at the Workplace – Mentors encourage and guide mentees through the job search and placement process and/or provide guidance as they seek to grow on their job.
*
- Rebuilding at Home – Mentors help advise mentees as they seek to rebuild family relationships that may have been lost during their incarceration.
*
- Giving Back to the Community – Mentors provide mentees with encouragement and direction in helping to give back to society through various means such as volunteering or other positive community activities.
*
The Ultimate Goal: Empower another individual with more than just a second chance; provide them with the ability to see the hope inside of themselves to succeed and remain successful in society.

MESSAGE FROM OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR:
"It's amazing. When I look at my journey through life, I often reflect and thank the Lord for my Mentors. Without them, I would not be where I am today. As a young man, I lacked focus and the faith to see God's will and purpose for my life. I was often treated as an outcast. However, the Lord sent great and successful mentors into my life, who took an interest in my personal and professional life. They exposed me to a wealth of knowledge that I would not have received from school or my up bringing. We have transitioned from mentors, to partners, to friends. 'Be not hearers of the Word, but doers also. Faith without works is dead.'

The commitment to help someone become better than yourself is a true meaning of giving.

God Bless,

Pray against attacks (Repent & Witness Evangelism Camp)

Prayer Requests

As our Repent and Witness Evangelism Camp draws near (only a week and a half away), the enemy is on attack trying to discourage RW missionaries through various attacks. This was too be expected. With each evangelism camp that has taken place, there are always reports of enemy attacks prior to the event. Oftentimes, the enemy attempts to prevent people from coming.

2 Corinthians 10:4 "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds"

Therefore, please pray for the RW team. Pray against attacks physically, spiritually, and emotionally.

One specific prayer request is for Brother Bryce, who hurt his knee and the doctor said may have to be on crutches for the event. As you know, we will be moving at a fast pace throughout the missionary trip so being able to move quickly is important in the crowded city. He also has a couple other things going on as well. However, he is in good spirits, knowing Who is in control. Please pray for his healing and situation.

We want to pray for everyone who has a need. Therefore, missionaries, please email us at prayer@changeyourcampus.net if you have any special prayer requests for our Prayer Team because of the enemy attacking in any form.

Continue to pray for everyone, Soldiers and Prayer Warriors.

July 30th kicks off our second RW Evangelism Camp Mission Trip to NYC. With Christians, students, and church leaders from the US and abroad, we are ready to preach the gospel and win souls to Christ in the big apple!
*
Will you commit to praying with us for this event? You can even join our official CCN Prayer Team to pray for the ministry on a consistent basis by emailing "I'm in!" to prayer@changeyourcampus.net!
*
We thank the LORD for your partnership with us in prayer for this awesome event and expect the LORD to give boldness to the missionaries, grant us protection, wisdom, compassion, and unity. Overall, we look for His glorification in this event, the saving of souls, and that His name to be magnified in NYC and on the college campuses when the students will return refreshed, blessed, and focused on expanding His Kingdom!
