This Saturday conference will present the subject of persecution from several aspects: an overview, personal testimony from one who has suffered, personal testimony of a former Muslim, who is now active in evangelism, a study of scripture, and a challenge to live a better life for Christ in light of eternity.

We will be gathering for dinner fellowship afterwards. Don't forget your gospel tracts! If you need to purchase more tracts, we will be selling them for $6/per pack.

Prominent House Church leader Released from Prison

UPDATE: On August 29, prominent house church leader, Pastor Zhang Mingxuan, affectionately known as "Pastor Bike", his wife and a co-worker were released from Chinese custody. All three believers are in good health and spirits and praising God for their release, according to China Aid Association. The detainees also said during their confinement they had opportunities to witness to guards and even high-ranking government officials.

Pastor Bike was arrested along with his wife and co-worker on August 6, two days before the Olympic Games began in Beijing. Pastor Bike, an outspoken evangelist, has travelled, on his bike, to many places in China, handing out Christian literature and Bibles and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Voice of the Martyrs and China Aid Association launched an international petition drive advocating for Pastor Bike, his wife and co-worker to be released. To date more than 58,000 people have signed the petition. The petition has been delivered to the Chinese Ambassador, Zhou Wenzhong, in Washington D.C.

VOM praises God for their release and encourages you to continue to pray for them and other believers in China. Ask God to protect believers who constantly face harsh persecution form the government.
